10 TNA Wrestlers Who Should Have Been World Champion (But Never Were)
4. D'Angelo Dinero
The Pope has recently returned to TNA in a commentating capacity, but could have achieved so much more during his in-ring career. Also known as Elijah Burke in the WWE, D'Angelo Dinero was one of the most unique, captivating characters on the roster during his four year spell.
Portraying a unique, evil street preacher, he drew considerable crowd support thanks to his dark charisma and hard-hitting wrestling style. Despite remaining an immensely popular upper-midcard figure for the entirety of his run, Dinero never won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He came close on a few occasions, most notably after winning the 'Eight Card Stud' tournament to crown a new contender, but lost the eventual title shot against champion AJ Styles.
Amazingly, Dinero never won any titles in TNA, let alone the big one. He will most likely be remembered as a criminally underused star with a sizeable cult following.
