Alexa Bliss is the first women to hold a main roster title in WWE outside of the Four Horsewomen since Nikki Bella.

Take your time. Process that.

We all assumed that Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley would dominate the WWE women's division for years to come. Eventually Asuka would join them. Nikki Bella might try and reclaim her throne. Perhaps a returnee like Mickie James would come back for a crack at the new blood. This is what we pictured as the WWE women's division from 2016 onwards. Somehow, Alexa Bliss finds herself among those names.

How did this happen? Alexa was drafted to a SmackDown Roster with little in the way of legitimate heels. Becky Lynch was the face champion, Nikki Bella returned as a face, Natalya had already had a lackluster feud with Lynch prior to the draft, and Eva Marie, the most hated female in the company, went and got herself suspended. This provided Bliss the opportunity to be Lynch's first challenger.

Bliss took that ball and ran with it, showing her vicious streak and putting on stellar matches, showing she deserved to be the top female villain on the Blue Brand. Although her TLC title win came as a surprise to many, and her placement among the top females in WWE may raise a few eyebrows, no one can say that she didn't deserve such accolades. Alexa Bliss is the most improved women's wrestler in WWE this year, and that lands her a spot on this list.
