10 Unusual Ways To Lose Your Job With WWE
8. Forget To Tuck Your Shirt In
It's no secret that Vince McMahon prefers his wrestlers to have a certain look. He famously wants his champions to turn heads at airports, and if a job applicant isn't 6'7", then he definitely ought to look like he spends most of his free time in the gym.
Unfortunately, if getting in shape were easy, everybody would look like John Cena. It takes hard work and great genetics to look like a bodybuilder. One superstar who didn't conform to Vince's ideal was Gangrel, a longtime territory journeyman who played a vampire alongside the then-gothic Edge and Christian. When Gangrel turned his back on his former partners and joined up with The Hardy Boyz, a legendary tag team feud was born - but before long, Gangrel had been split from The Hardys, and by 2001, he was gone from the company.
It seemed like WWE had missed the mark with Gangrel, who, if nothing else, was an innovative worker with a unique gimmick. It turned out, though, that problems with his weight were the deciding factor in the scary superstar's release - reportedly, his puffy shift came up during a match, exposing his gut and disgusting McMahon. After that, his days were numbered.
