10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen (27 July)

Ups...

10. FINALLY!

AEW Trios Titles
AEW

The AEW Trios Championships rumoured for well over two years finally came to life last night.

AEW's announce team broke the news shortly after Jon Moxley and Rush's opening bout. Typical of Tony Khan's promotion, the first champions will be crowned via a tournament culminating at All Out 2022 (4 September).

Later, The Young Bucks teased reuniting with 'Hangman' Adam Page, who briefly bumped into his old Elite stablemates backstage before The Dark Order bounded in, starting the televised wing of a storyline that may play out partially in the tournament.

Whatever the case, these straps have been a long-time coming. AEW has been well-stocked with great trios since day one, pretty much, and while units like SoCal Uncensored have come and gone, others have risen in their place. This is a no-brainer - and would almost certainly have happened earlier if not for the COVID-19 pandemic and Kenny Omega's injury.

Khan has previously stated that he would wait for Omega's return before installing the trios division. Is this a comeback sign?

Speculate away.
