Downs...

3. Oh Kai Mark

The gentlest of downs here, because it was genuinely nice to see Dakota Kai make her first appearance on television in 2019, not least in such a high profile spot during the all-important USA Network first hour.

Unfortunately, a combination of ring rust and wonky chemistry slightly undermined what could have been another powerful women's division encounter for the newest members of the NXT television audience.

The 'Captain Of Team Kick' didn't quite look ready to have the armband back. Her kicks were either hard hits or massive misses, whilst jobber Tanyara didn’t feel TV-ready.

A weak-looking version of the Go To Kick was a fitting finish, but Kai should hopefully make a quick return to form over the following few weeks. For her foe, it might be best going back to the drawing board.
