10 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 4)

9. Never Back Down

Even at the age of 55, Konnan doesn't back down from a fight when he needs to get his hands dirty. Fair play to the guy.

When that fight is against The North though, maybe he should just say no. A numbers disadvantage in this sort of situation is bad enough as it is but when the guys you're fending off are Ethan Page and Josh Alexander, it's only going to ever end one way. Konnan was of course laid out by the World Tag Team Champions, with Page and Alexander still seething at people sharing memories of Konnan's boys Ortiz and Santana.

If this was a way to write Konnan off seeing as there's nothing really left for him right now - other than being Daga's manager of sorts - then it was a fantastic way in doing so. Although when Homicide, Hernandez, and King did it to him at last year's Bound For Glory, it only resulted in Konnan coming back all guns blazing. A repeat against Ethan and Josh perhaps?
