10 World Class Athletes Who Would Have Been Huge WWE Stars

What would have happened if these stars chose WWE over their given field?

Pro wrestling, outside athletes, and celebrities have long been a married concept. As pro wrestling continually looks to break into mainstream news and press, companies like WWE, WCW and TNA have strived to put household names on their program. From the likes of Mr. T to Snooki, Maria Menounos to William Shatner, even right down to rock legends Kiss, celebrities have been a major part of wrestling history. During a down point in WWE ratings and stock history, they actually had a different celebrity on each week to host their flagship program, Raw. While celebrities in general have made their way to the ring for physical confrontations and in-ring action, it's often looked at as a farce when the likes of Seth Green or Snooki are booked. It's hard to sell wrestling fans on the idea that a pampered celebrity can hang with wrestlers they see weekly when they've been told for years that "bigger is better." That way of thinking doesn't hinder world-class athletes, as they are proven to be among the best in the world, and gifted talents. But what if these world champion, top level athletes had chosen to make a career in the WWE, as opposed to gunning for the UFC title, Super Bowl, or the NBA Finals? We'll take a look at ten world class athletes who would have been fantastic as WWE performers.
