10 Worst WWE WrestleMania Opening Matches Ever

1. The Allied Powers Vs. The Blu Brothers (WrestleMania XI)

Unless you lived through the time and are awash with nostaglia, there's likely something depressing about watching the WWF's output from 1995 on the Network. Business was down, Mabel went on to become King of the Ring and there were few signs that the promotion's cartoony product was going to change.

Also, Vince McMahon believed that The Blu Brothers should open up his most important pay-per-view of the year against an uninterested Lex Luger and a British Bulldog desperately seeking something more meaningful to do.

Six minutes later, The Allied Powers combo beat Jacob and Eli (tremendous, Bruiser Brody-like hair and all) and proceeded to pose for the enjoyment of few. Next up, Razor Ramon clashed with Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title, and even with the screwy DQ finish that match had, it would've been better placed as the opener.

McMahon should have kept the Allied Powers vs. Blu Brothers match for an episode of Action Zone or something.
