10 Wrestlers AEW Has Already Made Better
4. MJF
MJF's positioning is tempered here because Dynamite is still to see the skills that brought him to the dance in the first place.
As capable as he is between the ropes, MJF's promos and personality made him an indie standout, not his holds and strikes. The guy's a beast on the microphone. He can be called one of the best talkers in the game without a shred of hyperbole, and that he has cut only a single, brief promo on Dynamite thus far as a real shame. Let's hope he gets the opportunity to just let rip for five minutes on an upcoming broadcast.
The good news is that AEW have found other ways to get MJF's colossal heel character over. He's one of only a handful of things making Being the Elite watchable these days, looked like a brash, bullying d*ckhead vs. Brandon Cutler, and his slow-burning heel turn on Cody is coming along nicely, with Dynamite #2's teased chairshot bringing the building to its knees. MJF is doing great, and that he's opened so many mainstream eyes since inking with AEW proves his progress.
