10 Wrestlers Daniel Bryan MUST Face In AEW

Fantasy booking the American Dragon's future resume.

If the rumour mill is to be believed and the stars have aligned just right, in the near future the announcement should be made that Daniel Bryan (or, likely, Bryan Danielson) is at long last All Elite. His sudden WWE departure has fueled fantasy booking for long enough - it’s time for one of the world’s finest wrestlers to get back to doing what he’s best at.

Before he re-laces those boots, though, let’s indulge in a little more daydreaming. AEW’s roster offers up an incredible world of possibility for the American Dragon, with brand new stars he’s never faced before, as well as long awaited rematches with opponents who left Connecticut before him.

After several quiet months, the idea of any Daniel Bryan match is huge news, but let’s not forget the guy’s over 40 and with a shaky medical history - we want to savour, not squander, the matches he has left.

This could all turn out to be idle speculation, but that kind of negative thinking didn’t get D-Bry to the main event, and it won’t get him back on our screens either.

10. PAC

Bryan and Neville never shared the ring in a substantive way in WWE, and that’s nothing short of a crime. The two seem made for each other, a pair of “undersized” wrestlers who nonetheless possess the kind of technical skill and unmatched ferocity that the industry’s giants would kill for.

And that’s Neville we’re talking about - PAC is a different beast again. The Geordie high flyer often wrestles with a real chip on his shoulder, bristling for a real fight, ready to hurt his opponents. His recent exploits have given him a sniff of the main event, and he’s risen to the challenge.

These two doing battle in a major storyline couldn’t fail. Each of them is the complete wrestler, and they could match one another for intensity and desire all the way. With Bryan rocking up in a new promotion, we want to see the hits, sure, but it’d be nice to see a new side of the guy, and against someone as evenly matched as PAC, perhaps we could. Two unlikely but unstoppable killing machines with a desire to hurt one another. Sign us up.
