5. Batista Dared To Return To Wrestling, And Wear Blue!
Like Mysterio, this one is not entirely about Batista himself, as he was a beloved veteran and someone who many were looking forward to seeing again. The thing about his return was that it never felt like the crowd were particularly interested, despite his former popularity. It was likely because they were starting to feel fatigued from the stars of yesteryear and wanted to see Daniel Bryan in the spotlight.
In this sense, after he returned and supposedly stole the WrestleMania spotlight from their favourite wrestler, the fans were essentially angry at Batista for merely coming back. This is an absurd reason to begin hating a wrestler. Of course, it's a shame that he took a spot from Bryan, but to boo him for seizing the opportunities he was offered makes little sense.
In a strange twist as well, Batista was still despised even after he let Daniel Bryan submit him clean in the main event of WrestleMania. The Animal returned to wrestling, accepted the position fans put him in, gave them what they wanted and yet they still hated him.
He then committed the worst of his crimes: he wore blue trunks and created the fondly remember Bluetista. He deserved better than the reception he received.
