10 Wrestlers We Can't Wait To See Miro Face In AEW

The biggest dream matches for AEW's newest signing, these would all make Miro stand out.

Miro Chris Jericho
AEW

Miro is here.

After teasing his retirement from wrestling earlier in the year, the former Rusev has broken that declaration almost immediately by signing a contract with All Elite Wrestling and appearing on Dynamite as Kip Sabian's "best man" to a strong reaction from the physical crowd and thousands of fans at home.

The former WWE standout is a wrestler with untapped potential, a skilled talker on the microphone, an impressively funny performer, a talented in-ring technician and brute, and has the ability to reach heights on the card that his previous workplace didn't propel him towards. Getting him in AEW is a big acquisition for the company and should hopefully lead to greatness for both them and Miro himself.

Now that the shock of his debut has transitioned into the realisation that many dream matches for Miro are feasible, it's time to speculate on some of the most necessary of these. All of these are with contracted employees present in AEW at this moment, and hopefully, we'll get to see all of them as Miro's time with the promotion progresses. Fingers crossed Miro finds true satisfaction from his work here...

10. Scorpio Sky

Miro Chris Jericho
AEW

The former Rusev is extremely agile and good with smaller opponents, able to perform the bigger role in a match with ease. Scorpio Sky isn't the smallest man on the AEW roster but he's significantly lighter than Miro and his extensive experience in the business means he's a great hand to make Miro look as good as possible in a spotlight contest.

There wouldn't be a need for much in-ring narrative going in, this could easily work on Dynamite but both men are skilled at telling stories. Thus could easily establish Miro's brutal dominance or his technical skills depending on what aspect AEW wants to highlight in his character, and Sky would absolutely bump like crazy to display the full limits of Miro's power. Imagining the angle that Sky would bend his spine selling the Accolade is tantalising enough to sell the match on its own.

Scorpio Sky hasn't been a major part of AEW programming as a singles star outside of his title shots, but a good showing against a new top guy in Miro would be a great way to keep him relevant and get Miro a fantastic match to start off his AEW run.
