Some of the greatest wrestlers of all time have made their names through going undefeated. Goldberg in WCW, Asuka in NXT, and a little-known performer called The Undertaker? He had a big WrestleMania match one year against Mark Henry.

Undefeated streaks are a great way to create hype around a certain performer, as well as sparking discussion around who will be the one to end their run of dominance.

Staying unbeaten across an entire year is a tough ask. Not even Roman Reigns has managed to do it in 2022, losing via DQ to Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble. Yes, that is what happened, despite WWE's best efforts to tell us otherwise.

Although it's a tough task, it's not an impossible one, as these ten wrestlers have proven.

Some of them have been incredibly cheeky by having just one match this year and winning it. Others have spent a large amount of time away from the ring, so their matches have been few and far between. Others though, well they've simply been a force to be reckoned with this year, crushing everyone in their path with no exceptions.

With 2022 drawing to close, let's see which of these wrestlers can keep their streaks alive before we tick over into 2023.

10. Steve Austin (1-0)

WrestleMania 38 was a hell of an event.

Cody Rhodes made his WWE return, Johnny Knoxville hit Sami Zayn with a giant hand, and the two World Titles were unified. Well, sort of. We're still not entirely sure what the company is doing there.

One of the other major talking points of the night was the return to the ring of one of the biggest stars wrestling has ever produced - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

In his home state, The Texas Rattlesnake was goaded into accepting a match against Kevin Owens that closed out the first night of the show. It was a wild No Holds Barred affair that saw Austin take a frickin' suplex on the outside. Careful, Steve! Otherwise you'll be riding that ATV everywhere!

In the end, Stone Cold got the better of his Canadian foe with a trademark Stunner to get his first win since 2003.

Seeing as this was likely just a one-off match to pop the Texas crowd, don't expect Austin's record to change as 2022 comes to an end. Although, as we saw with that suplex, never rule anything out when it comes to Stone Cold.
