10 Wrestlers Who Managed To Get Themselves Out Of Terrible Ideas

Now that WWE has turned PG, the ship has sailed, but for many years, Vince McMahon was dying to run an incest angle. He's the only person who can answer why, but it was something that was very important to him.

McMahon nearly got his way in 1999, when the character of Ryan Shamrock - "sister" to former UFC fighter Ken - was introduced into programming. Ryan infuriated her brother by dating (and siding with) Val Venis, but the storyline was eventually supposed to lead to Ryan and Ken ending up together. Even though the two were actually dating in real life, they both flatly refused to participate in the angle.

Vince was beaten, but not broken. Years later, his daughter Stephanie was pregnant, and he wanted to write it into an angle. As he pitched it, he would be revealed as the father of Stephanie's child, an idea that the "Billion-Dollar Princess" quickly shot down. As a backup plan, Vince suggested that Shane be revealed as the baby's father, but both of his children told him no.
