10 Wrestlers Who Still Have Something To Prove In AEW

1. Lance Archer

Unlike some on this list, Lance Archer has been great for much of his AEW run. A killer Jake Roberts promo built intrigue for Archer’s arrival and he backed that up with a series of entertaining squash matches that saw him chucking jobbers about before he even got in the ring.

Marko Stunt’s continued AEW presence seems simply impossible because we all saw big Lance murder him! “The Murderhawk Monster’s” early form was rewarded with not one but two title opportunities. Sadly that’s where things start to fall apart and we’re still to see how Archer can recover.

It isn’t Archer’s fault he was booked to lose twice and it wasn’t even bad booking. His was a credible scalp for both champions and neither was the wrong pick as winner.

That said, monsters like Archer are notoriously difficult to book and it’s hard for a monster to retain his heat if he can’t win the big ones. “Everybody, from the upper midcard down, dies,” just isn’t that pithy a catchphrase.
