There is a little bit of word of mouth with this one, but such is the world of professional wrestling. Either way, you'd have probably given Chavo Guerrero a big title run at some point in his career on the strength of his entrance music alone, right? That "Ooooh, Chavo" is arguably the most underrated piece of entrance music in the history of WWE, and that is a hill your writer will gladly die on.

Still, Chavo Guerrero, WWE Champion? That seems like a stretch, even considering the strength of that marvellous theme. That is exactly the scenario that Chavo claims he was offered in the wake of his Uncle Eddie's passing in 2005. Chavo had actually segued into a bizarre run as Kerwin White at the time, only to revert back to Chavo soon after. The multi-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion claims that WWE offered him a whole heap of stories at the time including a major title reign, but Chavo turned them down.

Of course, this had led some to speculate that the Rey Mysterio World Title reign was initially intended for Chavo, but that also seems like a stretch. When Eddie passed, Rey was a main event star waiting to happen. Chavo? He was Kerwin White.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
