Who is the greatest female performer in WWE history to never win the Women's Championship? It is an interesting discussion point, largely because the lack of respect afforded to the division by the very company booking it has made for some curious champions and even more curious neglection. Stars like Emma, Maria and Summer Rae make solid arguments of their own, while current names like Liv Morgan, Dana Brooke and Sonya Deville have plenty of time to add their names to the annals of history.

In terms of crossover appeal and sheer star power, it is hard to look past the argument made by Stacy Keibler. A cursory glance at her Wikipedia page shows that the only titles Keibler won in her seven-year career in WWE and WCW were the prestigious 'Babe of the Year' (2004) and Nitro Girl Search (1999) awards. Sure, Stacy was never a constant presence in terms of actual matches, but that wasn't exactly a prerequisite to winning gold in WWE.

Keibler was offered title reigns on several occasions, most notably via a potential WrestleMania 21 showdown with then-Women's Champion Trish Stratus. Each time, Keibler decided against it, preferring instead to work primarily as a valet as opposed to an in-ring talent. Who can blame her?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
