Leaning into racial stereotypes and attempting to capitalise on the real-world tension being brought about by the war on terror isn't what you'd class as the wisest idea at the best of times. All in all, Hussan's wrestling career took a substantial hit thanks to WWE's decision to commit to the controversial gimmick and angle, with the star announcing his retirement a few months on from his demotion.
