10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign Before 2017 Ends
1. Ricochet
Does WWE want to save their Cruiserweight Division and 205 Live? If they do, Ricochet may be their best shot at it.
Perhaps no one in the business right now moves as fluidly as Ricochet does. He busts out incredible aerial attacks and makes it look so damn easy. It's a bit mind-boggling to behold.
Over on Lucha Underground, he’s been their top babyface since the show’s debut but right now he’s free to go where he wants. WWE has contacted him in the past about potentially coming in. They should try calling again.
Of course, 205 Live may be done for anyway. Maybe there's no hope at this point! WWE may have to give up on the idea and assimilate all the Cruiserweight talent into Raw and SmackDown. That may actually work out better for Ricochet. He could be the 2017 version of Rey Mysterio and take on all comers. It’s been awhile since the company has had a good giant killer, and as seen in his matches with Mil Muertes, he’s believable in going to war with anyone.
While he’s not the greatest talker, neither was Mysterio and he became a huge star through his incredible work and charisma. Plus, at 28-years-old, there's plenty of time for Ricochet to find himself as a character and eventually become a top-tier babyface and major merchandise seller.
The man is in his prime and is ready to have his work finally seen by millions of fans on a weekly basis. Out of anyone available right now, Ricochet could be the most likely to become a major star for WWE in the coming years.
