4. The Wolves

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are a set of highly-regarded indie-centric wrestlers who have held TNA’s tag division together at times. Though fantastically gifted singles wrestlers in their own right, The Wolves are five-time TNA Tag Team Champions, and while their competition hasn’t always been fierce in Nashville, they’ve established themselves as one of the best tag teams on the planet.

They’re currently enjoying singles runs, but they fit the NXT mould to a tee. Fans would recognise them both from their time in TNA and on the indies, and with NXT putting an emphasis on match quality over long-winded promos, they’d be allowed to play to their strengths. They’re an exciting, dynamic and highly-skilled team who aren’t the best on the microphone, but have both developed their own personalities after eight years of teaming together.

Richards is relentless and intense, while Edwards is a lot more calculating. They have an excellent track record of delivering in big tag matches, and slotting them in against The Revival or Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa would give NXT fans a top notch match right off the bat. The lack of charisma would hold them back from making an impact on the main roster, but The Wolves would be a huge hit at Full Sail University.
