10 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Worked For ECW

1. King Kong Bundy

King Kong Bundy, before resurfacing in the WWF in 1995, made an appearance for ECW at the first ever November To Remember event in 1993. It was a main event to forget, though Bundy was among the first to forge the deeply unimpressive legacy of "jobbing actor" wrestlers refusing to do jobs in ECW, to which they felt they had lowered themselves.

Bundy, in the words of Tod Gordon, wanted the work, but didn't want to work. So, he absorbed very little offence, and turned on partner Terry Funk to allow Sabu to roll up Funk for his Television Championship. That was the extent of Bundy's involvement with the promotion. He came, borrowed Paul Heyman's trademark prop, and completely phoned in a non-performance filed under "that's a strange thing that happened".

Bundy arrived into the 'Land of Extreme' as Terry Funk's mystery partner, and, in an even bigger mystery, was rehired by the WWF to put over The Undertaker at WrestleMania XI. If nothing else, this represented the nadir of 'Taker's old 'Monster of the Week' arc, which was abandoned shortly thereafter to make way for The Undertaker: awesome gimmick and awesome pro wrestler.

Cheers, Bundy!

And, if you fancy coming back now, there's a guy called Finn Bálor who could do with hitting his lowest ebb...
