There's been a lot of buzz recently about the work and promos of Ethan Carter III in TNA, and rightly so. The man has transformed himself from a reject of the WWE system into a performer the McMahon steamroller could likely work wonders with, which just shows how even the biggest and best in the industry can miss out on sure fire talent.

Admittedly, as Derrick Bateman in WWE, EC3 didn't show the kind of skills he has in TNA. Instead, he has used the TNA environment to grow as both an in-ring wrestler and on the microphone, culminating that journey with a TNA Heavyweight Title victory against Kurt Angle on the July 1st, 2015 episode of Impact Wrestling.

Talking about his title win and how he has transitioned from WWE into TNA this past week, EC3 claimed that he's always been as accomplished as he is now, but was never destined to make it with his old employers. Comparing his own plight to the journey of Steve Austin from WCW to the WWF, Carter also said he pictured his match with Angle when he was just 8 years old.
