Despite WWE's best efforts to paint him as a mid card loser, Rusev has rallied fans behind him with this 'Rusev Day' character. When even a lower-tier worker like Aiden English is getting positive fan reactions (largely because they know his appearance precedes Rusev's), you know something has caught fire.

Via his Talk Is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho claimed this week to see Rusev's babyface success coming when he interviewed both Ru-Ru and Lana last year.

Impressed by the amount of natural charisma Rusev had, Y2J pulled him aside after the interview and told him he had the potential to be a "huge babyface" someday. Rusev thanked Jericho, but told him that he wasn't so sure about that. Fast-forward a year or so, and it's happening.

It'd be great if Jericho could use his star power and relationship with Vince McMahon to put in a word for Rusev here. Why not? The guy does have serious potential as a face, and he has repeatedly shown how much personality he has.

Do him a solid, Chris.
