10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 12)

1. Dusty Rhodes Passes Away

Messages of condolence have been flooding in to the entire Rhodes/Runnels family following news that the iconic Dusty Rhodes has passed away. Known as the 'American Dream' during a Hall Of Fame career, the big guy could look back on an in-ring career which would make almost anybody jealous. Both the man's sons, Dustin and Cody are performing in WWE as Goldust and Stardust respectively, and it must be a terrible time for them right now. Falling in his home on Wednesday morning, Dusty was rushed to hospital, where it appears he passed away due to complications related to the tumble. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer wrote that Dusty's kidneys shut down and he came dehydrated, which obviously didn't aid his plight at all. Needless to say, the entire wrestling world is in mourning for one of the brightest and best minds the industry has ever produced, and Dusty Rhodes will be missed by millions for the contributions he gave to the world of pro wrestling.
