10 WWE Angles That Backfired Spectacularly

Perhaps it's slightly premature to write this one off as a complete disaster. After all, we haven't yet seen the climax. It's possible, albeit incredibly unlikely, that it'll all work out in the end.

But if it does, even WWE writers would have to admit that it was less by design than it was a happy accident. There's no way they can claim they actually wanted Jason Jordan, a wholesome babyface, to be booed for months a la Roman Reigns.

Jordan's ultimate fate may be far worse than that of Reigns, though. The Big Dog, thanks to his being a part of The Shield, was already an established headliner when the fans began to turn on him. By comparison, Kurt Angle's son is a mere rookie.

The great shame in all of this is that he's obviously a very talented rookie as well. He might have eventually reached the WWE promised land on his own back, but attempting to shoehorn him into the main event simply via association with a wrestling icon was always going to end badly.
