10 WWE Elimination Chamber Records That May Never Be Broken
Records protected by cold black steel.
John Cena’s already tied one record this year - according to WWE, at least - and at the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, he could be in line to match another.
Having "equalled" Ric Flair’s haul of 16 world title wins (or thereabouts) when he beat AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble, Cena could now match Triple H’s record of four separate victories inside the Elimination Chamber.
Regardless of whether or not he achieves that, he’s at least guaranteed to match the record for most appearances in Chamber bouts. But beyond these accolades, there are some more nuanced Elimination Chambers records that look a little more difficult to rival.
We’ve got records for the biggest Chamber bouts, individual stats for the most and least successful participants. Most importantly, they're all records that look set to stand for years to come.
This article takes a dive into the history books as we count down ten of the more noteworthy Elimination Chamber records that may never, ever, be broken.
10. Triple H’s Reign Of Terror
Not only does Triple H have the most Chamber wins in history under his belt, but he's also managed to rack those wins up in record-breaking time.
Of the first eight Chamber matches, Triple H was victorious in half of them, meaning that his tally of four wins all arrived within a five-and-a-half year span between August 2003 and February 2009.
That may sound like a long time, but you have to bear in mind that these kinds of matches only come around once or twice a year. Plus, even if Cena manages to tie Triple H’s win record this year, it’ll have taken him more than 11 years to do so - twice as long - having notched his first Chamber success way back in January of 2006.
With stats like these, you can see why that early-to-mid 2000s period was often referred to as Triple H’s Reign of Terror. It’s another of those callouts that speaks volumes about either his in-ring dominance or his growing backstage influence, depending on how you like to look at it.
