Though the night itself still boasted other genuinely captivating blow-offs, the honour of the most intriguing and buzz-worthy match coming into WrestleMania 35 undoubtedly belonged to the first-ever women's main event in the event's history.

And though just about every single fan on the globe had been begging to see The Man and The Baddest Woman on the Planet come to blows from the second Becky Lynch had her face smashed in by Nia Jax a few months earlier, a number of avoidable factors would eventually leave this Winner-Takes-All contest with too large a mountain to overcome.

A night that had already stretched on for an eternity, the unnecessary inclusion of Charlotte Flair as an additional obstacle to overcome, and the botched finish which saw Ronda Rousey's shoulders not be fully pinned to the mat during Lynch's triumphant moment all led to a show-closer that will be remembered more for its post-match visual than anything else as time goes by.

And by the looks of things, fans may have to wait that little bit longer to finally see that Lynch vs. Rousey solo super-smash, with the 2022 Royal Rumble winner opting to rekindle her rivalry with The Queen at this year's event.
