10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (Aug 2)
So is Adam Rose going to become a Wyatt member or what?
It's a sad time for the wrestling world because of the death of Roddy Piper, which came as a major shock because he was such a lively and entertaining man. Monday's Raw will likely feature a tribute to him at the start of the show as well as tributes throughout the rest of the evening. It's a tough thing to go through especially after saying goodbye to Dusty Rhodes in June. Piper was one of the most influential wrestlers in the history of the business because he was main eventing WWE in the 1980s when the wrestling business really boomed. Even people who don't follow wrestling know who he is because of his presence during that era. The current WWE roster is full of people in their 20s and 30s that grew up watching him, so at live events this weekend and TV tapings this week, there will likely be a lot of tears as the wrestling world mourns the loss of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. In terms of WWE news, it wasn't a very busy week. The only thing that was really noteworthy was the broken nose that John Cena suffered during his Raw main event match with Seth Rollins. Cena's likely out for the next two weeks of TV because he had surgery to repair the break, but as of right now is expected back for the Raw on August 17, which is six days before SummerSlam on August 23. It's not a lock that Cena will be ready for SummerSlam, but since it's Cena most assume he will be. Here is this week's Q&A, which is based off questions sent to me on Twitter @johnreport prior to Piper's passing. The wrestling business never rests and there's always more to come in the future, so let's get to it.
