10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (Jan 12)

What are the chances of Kenny Omega going to WWE?

We are rapidly approaching the least predictable Royal Rumble match in years, meaning that most of us have a lot of questions regarding both the event itself and WrestleMania 33. The Mania card is one of the murkiest in a long while, especially in contrast to the foregone conclusion of Triple H vs. Roman Reigns in 2016.

There are a whole host of potential winners - from The Undertaker to Chris Jericho to (the currently injured) Finn Balor - as well as countless theories surrounding the possibility of a Shinsuke Nakamura or Samoa Joe main roster debut.

There is, of course, also the possibility of a certain Kenny Omega jumping ship, just as AJ Styles did this time last year (but only if his recent comments are to be believed, and the Canadian is no stranger to working us easily-provokable fans).

As well as the various mysteries surrounding the Rumble, we'll also take a look at the idea of an all-women version of the match, the upcoming UK Championship Tournament, and even tackle a typically facetious question from WhatCulture's own Adam Blampied.

10. Who Should Win The Royal Rumble?

Let's dive straight in and determine who should win the Royal Rumble match itself. The brand split has had many positive and negative effects upon WWE's programming since last summer, but one undoubted bonus is the new air of unpredictability it's cast on this month's annual showcase.

By now, many of you will have seen Dave Meltzer's recent claim that Vince McMahon has entirely changed his mind on the possibility of a Cena vs. Undertaker main event in Orlando. That match is reportedly off the card, but if we first assume that it's false, it makes total sense for the Deadman to win his second Royal Rumble match. He could then go on to face Cena at Mania, with Big Match John presumably defeating AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.

However, if Cena vs. Taker truly is off the books (or if it simply won't be contested for a title), many alternative options are available. Again, this relies a lot upon assumption, but should Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho face off at Mania, it would make sense for Roman Reigns to win the Universal Championship at the Rumble PPV. This would then require someone from the Raw brand to win the Rumble match itself, and my top pick would be Finn Balor. Yes, the Irishman is currently injured, but we've seen superstars hurry back to enter the latter stages of a Rumble before (see Cena in 2008 and Edge in 2010).
