Could The Miz get a world title run soon?

The Royal Rumble is this Sunday, and should theoretically be at the forefront of everybody's mind. But it never quite works like that, does it?

Every year we can't enjoy the Rumble for what it is; we're always wondering what lies around the corner, analysing every possible outcome of the title matches (and, of course, the Royal Rumble itself) to decipher the card of WrestleMania.

There's a little of that in this week's article, but also plenty of focus on WWE's annual January showcase - present and past. We ponder the greatest elimination of all time, as well as the best non-Rumble match ever to grace the pay per view.

Elsewhere we take a look at the best gimmick in wrestling today, the prospect of The Miz being rewarded with a world title run, and whether we fans always know the difference between a work and a shoot these days.

10. If Roman Reigns Wins The Universal Championship, Who Does He Face At WrestleMania?

Ultimately, I kind of see this question as the same as 'who should win the Royal Rumble', because WWE haven't really done a lot to hide the fact that a Raw superstar is probably standing tall at the end of the night. Thankfully the winner is the least predictable in years, meaning that Roman could face a wide variety of guys at 'Mania (should he defeat Owens, of course).

Personally, I'd like to see him go up against Finn Balor. The Irishman decimated 'The Guy' during his main roster debut on Raw, and you'd like to imagine that Roman would be after vengeance on the grandest stage of all.

Other possibilities include Undertaker, Goldberg, and even a rematch with Brock Lesnar, but I'd prefer Finn to any of these.

A slightly left field suggestion could see John Cena challenge Reigns to a brand vs. brand clash. I'd love to see that, however unlikely it is. Cena would probably receive the biggest babyface reaction of his career.
