8. Who Will Surprise People If Given A Chance By The Brand Split?
I think the answer to this question lies in WWE's tag teams. The Brand Split could well split up some long-familiar partners, or at least provide more singles matches for tag team members to showcase their skills.
Two names jump out in this regard: Karl Anderson and Luke Harper. Anderson demonstrated his fantastic ability in New Japan, especially when given a chance to shine in the annual G1 Climax tournament. Despite this, many WWE fans would be surprised to learn of his prowess. His recent singles match with John Cena saw 'Machine Gun' get in very, very little offence.
Similarly, Luke Harper was rapidly approaching indie darling status during his time as Brodie Lee, tearing up Chikara and Dragon Gate with regularity. He was admittedly given an Intercontinental Championship run in late 2014, but saw his reign ended after just 27 days. Harper's injury is obviously a hinderance in this regard, but could see him return with a vengeance sometime later this year.
Hopefully Anderson, Harper, and many more under-appreciated midcard stars will indeed be given a chance to shine once the Split takes place.
