10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (March 10)

2. What Is The Best WWE PPV Of The Past Decade?

@DiegoTheGuvnor asks a question which we discussed at length on Tuesday Throwdown, but I'll develop my personal view a little here. My favourite WWE pay per view of the last decade is, hands down, Money In The Bank 2011. Wrestling-wise, it's a great show. Both ladder matches are excellent, Christian and Randy Orton demonstrate great chemistry in their World Heavyweight Championship match, and the main event between John Cena and CM Punk is obviously excellent. More important, however, is the feeling the PPV was able to generate. For the first time in years, wrestling felt unpredictable, exciting, and dangerous again. The 'Summer of Punk' angle appealed to both casual and hardcore fans, and the promos Punk cut in the build-up were groundbreaking. So many things about the main event are unforgettable: the reception for both men's entrances, the slow development of the bout itself, several awesome near falls, and an unforgettable conclusion. Punk's controversial fallout with WWE has since reduced its lasting onscreen legacy, but the match still lives on in the minds of countless fans.
