10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (Oct 20)

Will Goldberg vs. Lesnar be better than their WrestleMania XX horrorshow?

The shenanigans of James Ellsworth aside, all eyes this week have been on Raw. There are two major reasons for this: the rumoured decision to have Sasha Banks and Charlotte headline Hell In A Cell - a bold step which would represent a landmark in wrestling history - and the eagerly-awaited return of WCW legend Goldberg.

As well as questions regarding such big news, we'll tackle subjects including Survivor Series (and those upcoming Raw vs. SmackDown matches), the various peaks of Shawn Michaels, and the tricky topic of Roman Reigns.

In the wake of Hell In A Cell on October 30th, we'll also take a look at the very concept of stipulation-based PPVs, and whether they dilute or enhance the aura of the titular matches themselves.

As per usual, thanks to everybody who submitted questions via the official WhatCulture Wrestling Twitter page (@WhatCultureWWE), and commiserations to those who missed out. Check back next week for your chance to ask again!

Oh, and Adam Blampied has been in touch with another of his ludicrous queries, which I'll endeavour to take as seriously as possible. Apologies in advance.

10. What Did You Make Of Goldberg's Return?

Weirdly, I wasn't excited at all for Goldberg's return until the segment itself. As I'm sure many who watched Raw will agree, there was just something about the long backstage walk, the entrance itself, and the raucous reception that greeted him. In a real heart vs. head situation, I know deep down that I disagree with the idea of bringing Goldberg back with minimal build, but I can't help but be excited. "You're last!" was a spine-tingling line on it's own, let alone the rest of the promo.

Damn you, wrestling.

Unfortunately, while the former WCW (and World Heavyweight) Champion's return tugged on the heartstrings, it also really made me want to see him win - which I absolutely can't see happening. WWE wouldn't have built Brock Lesnar as such an unbeatable force over the last few years only for an ageing Bill to waltz in and pin him.
