10 WWE Releases That Could Have Been Easily Avoided
4. Neville
Pac, as he was known before and now after his turbulent time as part of WWE's unpredictable system, was yet another talent who could have been built around as one of the company's next big breakout stars.
If only Vince McMahon knew how to consistently book people under 6-feet-tall.
'Neville' would actually enjoy a decent initial WWE spell which encompassed everything from a brilliant run as NXT Champion to a high profile tag team match-up involving Arrow star Stephen Amell at SummerSlam 2015.
So, it looked as though the Newcastle-native was being lined up for big things in the company and his heel-turn upon returning to WWE at Roadblock: End of the Line, seemed like the beginnings of an interesting new direction for the now viciously merciless performer.
Neville went on an absolute tear through the Cruiserweight division after capturing the title at the Royal Rumble event in 2017. Yet, after dominating the brand he made watchable it became clear that WWE were preparing to gift the prize of victory over the King of the Cruiserweights to the walking arseh*le that was Enzo Amore and this led to multiple sources announcing that Neville had walked out on the company.
Despite some alluding to Neville performing a u-turn and returning to action for WWE, a release was eventually agreed on and he was free to be utilised in other companies as the absolute destroyer he should have always been positioned as inside WWE.
This could have all been avoided if Vince McMahon had just realised the level of star he had on his hands and pushed the 'B*stard' accordingly.
