8. Marty Jannetty

Marty Jannetty rose to fame as one half of the hugely successful tag team, The Rockers. With the legendary Shawn Michaels by his side, the team helped to revolutionise the WWF's tag team division in the early '90s and both men became stars in the process.

While Michaels would go on to become arguably the greatest in-ring performer of all time, Jannetty's career would slip by the wayside. Despite a run with the IC Title in 1993, Jannetty once again became part of tag division.

After asking for his release in late '96, Jannetty eventually made his way to WCW to become part of the company's Cruiserweight Division in early '98. Despite his name value, Jannetty only challenged for the title on one occasion, losing to Chris Jericho in less than 90 seconds.

The run itself was largely uneventful and Jannetty appeared on just one WCW PPV during his time with the company. At Slamboree '98, Jannetty was part of a 15 man Battle Royal for a shot at the Cruiserweight Champion, Chris Jericho.

His last match came in August '98 in a losing effort to Konnan on Nitro. Jannetty injured his shoulder in the match and was released, in typical WCW style, while recovering from injury.
