At SummerSlam, Bret the Hitman Hart truly proved himself as the best there is, the best there was, and quite possibly the best there ever will be. Since his first appearance at the inaugural PPV, Hart has thrilled fans in each and every show hes been a part of. His early days wrestling at SummerSlam were spent in tag team action with Jim the Anvil Neidhart. Forming the legendary Hart Foundation, the duo put on some awesome matches with the likes of Demolition (twice) and the Brain Busters. The innovation and technique Hart displayed did much to bolster his Excellence of Execution moniker. In 1991 he defeated Mr. Perfect in an instant classic, and in the following year created one of the all-time great SummerSlam moments in his Match of the Year with the British Bulldog. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7LAM7mULJY Having amply proved his worth, Hart progressed to the WWE title picture, beating his brother Owen for the belt in 1994 and the Undertaker in 1997. The latter victory was a pivotal moment in a feud that would go on to create the most controversial moment in wrestling history just a few months later at Survivor Series 1997. He even staged a dramatic comeback at the 2010 PPV when he joined Team WWE in their quest to banish the Nexus. A litany of championships, some epic rivalries and most importantly a handful of the greatest performances of all time are reason enough to crown Bret the Hitman Hart the true Mr. SummerSlam.
