10 WWE Superstars Who Could Win Money In The Bank 2023

On 1st July 2023, WWE is returning to the UK, as Money In The Bank takes over the O2 Arena in London.

With WrestleMania season in full flow, and all eyes quite rightly on the epic Bloodline saga, as well as Cody Rhodes' return from injury, it's easy to get caught up in the here and now. WWE hasn't felt this hot in years, due to a combination of solid booking from Triple H and one of the greatest storylines in the company's long history.

But let's look further ahead. Let's see who could potentially be next in line.

It's not a controversial take to assume that Roman Reigns' record-breaking run as champion will come to an end in April, and if that is the case, there will be a host of fresh challengers ready to face either Cody Rhodes or Sami Zayn. Well, come July, one person will be guaranteeing themselves a shot at the gold.

Money In The Bank as a concept has become a little bland in recent years, with victories for the likes of Baron Corbin, Otis and Austin Theory amounting to nothing but disappointment. This year, WWE had the opportunity to really elevate a few superstars, show us who they want positioned as a title contender or who do they want to reheat.

Any of the following choices would be a marked improvement over Austin Theory's ill-judged victory last year and would pose a serious threat to whoever is holding the belt.

Somehow, The Judgement Day have become one of the biggest successes of Triple H's run as the Head of Creative. Although the majority of the heat and buzz is around the convict known as Dominik Mysterio and his dominant 'Mami', it's also seemingly revitilised Finn Balor.

Gone is the smiling, 'just happy to be here' Balor of old, and instead, the 'Demon King' looks like he is having the time of his life. Hamming it up on a weekly basis as a moustache twirling villain, the first-ever Universal Champion feels like a superstar reborn.

There have been recent reports that Balor himself is in line for a big push this year, which should begin with a monumental victory over Edge at WrestleMania 39. That would be a good start and then the 'Prince' can build some serious steam before heading to the UK.

Like Sheamus, he is likely to be treated like a 'homecoming hero', despite coming from Ireland, but he should be considered a major threat for the briefcase. The cash-in usually favours a sneaky, opportunistic heel, and right now, Balor fits that mould quite nicely. Can you imagine the arrogance of the Judgement Day with one of the World Title's in their midst?

Flanked by his dangerous group of geeks, Balor would make a credible and dangereous holder of the briefcase.
