This former NXT Champion set the world ablaze with thrilling championship encounters at multiple Takeover events in Houston, Philadelphia, and New Orleans against Drew McIntyre, Johnny Gargano, and the wicked Aleister Black. And while it took some time for the so-called El Ídolo to rise the ranks within NXT and capture the coveted championship, he has quickly made a splash on SmackDown.

Announced as a member of the blue brand during April’s Superstar Shakeup, “Cien” only made his in-ring debut for SmackDown in May. And despite only being a part of the main roster for a few weeks, Almas -- with Zelina Vega by his side -- has already been presented as a serious force to be reckoned with. Since joining SmackDown, he’s only showcased his dominance over unknown local talent, but that mean streak and technical prowess will surely translate to higher level opponents.

Money in the Bank would have been a blessed opportunity for Almas to show his worth on the main roster and prove to SmackDown’s superstars that he is a true force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, Andrade is no stranger to the high-flying and daredevil-like antics of Money in the Bank matches, as he has often taken great risks on his way to victory in the past. But for Andrade Almas and the other previously mentioned superstars, Money in the Bank was not to be for them this year.
