10 WWE Wrestlers Randy Orton Has Never Faced One-On-One

1. Braun Strowman

Of all the one-on-one matchups that were probably the most plausible but never happened during Randy Orton’s 20-year career, facing off against Braun Strowman during the Monster Among Men’s six-year run with the company has to be the most perplexing.

Strowman was treated as a top guy or at least a threat to top guys from the get-go, and he definitely benefited from facing stars occasionally so he didn’t feel like a sideshow act. His feud with Roman Reigns really put him on the map, for example.

But a rivalry with Orton was never in the cards. They shared the ring 13 times, including five Royal Rumbles (one on which was the Greatest RR), three Survivor Series elimination matches, and three tag matches (on opposing sides).

Orton trying to lay Strowman out with an RKO would have made for a compelling story, and it would have been a rare win that would have meant something for one guy or the other. You have to imagine if Braun had stayed in WWE, they’d eventually hook it up, but as it stands right now, this one will have to wait.
