10 WWE Wrestlers That Can’t Be Harmed By Always Losing

2. Baron Corbin

Weather-beaten waistcoat-wearing Baron Corbin is an entirely different prospect to the straggly-haired 'Lone Wolf' that briefly stalked prey in WWE before succumbing to the biggest predator of all. Like countless others, he "couldn't see" John Cena coming, but 'The Champ's brutal stripping of his Money in the Bank briefcase and it-factor in the space of eight days in 2017 was the public execution of a gimmick that wasn't actually put to death for another year.

A sartorial turnaround hasn't exactly fixed things, but it has revealed that little was actually broken in the first place. Called up from NXT rather prematurely, he'd lost so forgettably that most of the defeats hadn't actually registered. Only the Cena ones clung on like the pieces of sh*t they actually were, and he's been around so little that there's been no such neon reminder of Corbin's biggest failure.

Just weeks removed from the year anniversary of his briefcase blunder, Corbin scored a win over Finn Bálor on Monday Night Raw in a match that went 20:08. As of writing, only five matches in this year's entire NJPW G1 Climax have gone over that duration - he is working beyond the scale of the industry elite, even if he's not got half the skill.
