10 WWE Wrestlers We Want To See In RETRIBUTION
1. Kevin Owens
Babyface Kevin Owens should be a huge star in the company, but they’ve failed to push him in the way he deserves. He had huge momentum last fall after his Shane McMahon feud ignited a fire in his babyface performances, his WarGames appearance only further cemented crowds’ wholehearted embrace of KO as the next star of the company. He had proven himself as a worthy world champion, and this was his time to make it to the top.
Then he got put in a several-month feud with Seth Rollins, did nothing else but tag matches with him for a long time, beat him in a fairly okay WrestleMania match and then got half of the screentime that Rollins did following the Show of Shows. His momentum was wasted on a feud that didn’t have the spark it should have, and since WrestleMania, he hasn’t been on a PPV main card once. Additionally, he lost to Randy Orton on Raw this week and doesn’t even have a match laid out for SummerSlam.
As much as we all want babyface Kevin Owens to succeed, reigniting his fire and letting his promo skills reign supreme by having him as the angry leader of RETRIBUTION, intent on destroying WWE and taking the world title for himself is exactly what his character needs and what this stable needs. Owens is in his prime and too good to be wasted on nothing.
