10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need A Fresh Start In 2021

Many WWE superstars need a change in 2021. Some need it desperately and far more than others.

Every year as December is coming to a close and the new year is about to start rolling around, we hope to see a brighter future for certain WWE superstars.

WWE make a habit of taking a talented, promising superstars and completely squandering them. It's common to see exceptional wrestlers get lumped with awful gimmicks and endure huge losses on a regular basis. While it's impossible to give everyone that main event push, it IS possible to provide wrestlers with a chance to shine and show off their abilities in more effective ways.

2020 was a year like no other for WWE. We saw them adjust to the ongoing global pandemic and keep the show going. Yet in many ways WWE continued to exhibit bad habits and one of those is the bad usage of good talent. While the list of superstars who need a something new to work with is extensive, there are some who need outright fresh starts as we head in 2021.

Here are those who need it the most.

10. RETRIBUTION

Every single member of RETRIBUTION needs a fresh start as soon as possible. The talent of the individual members has been wasted to the nth degree.

Right from the beginning RETRIBUTION has been doomed. The group has been booked terribly at a consistent level. Their identities, from their names to their outfits, are completely ridiculous. Mustafa Ali, MACE, RECKONING, SLAPJACK, and T-BAR are in desperate need of some positive change and something fresh from WWE creative. No one is enjoying their output under their current guise and it's hard to imagine that the wrestlers themselves are overly enamoured with the gimmick they've been landed with.

It's going to be a difficult task to disassociate these members from their current identity. The first and obvious step is to abolish this faction to allow each member to move forward. A return to each of their respective prior names also makes sense. The people formerly known as Dio Maddin, Mia Yim, Shane Thorne, and Dominik Dijakovic are all respectably good performers who simply need something worthwhile to chew on. We of course cannot forget their leader, Mustafa Ali, who at one point had built an unexpected surge of momentum only for it to fall by the wayside.

Here's hoping that in 2021 each member of RETRIBUTION figure into WWE's rumoured new year's resolution of shaking things up.
