10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need To Redeem Themselves In 2025
2025 should be the year these ten superstars break out of their rough patches and redeem themselves
Professional wrestling is an unpredictable environment where fortunes can change at any time.
One moment, a wrestler might be on top of the world, holding all the championships, but one slip can take everything away from them and bring them down hard. It's not easy to recover from this situation, and the wrestlers spend several years putting in the work before they can get back to the top.
2024 has provided a career resurgence to several members of the WWE locker room. The most recent commercial boom for the company shows no signs of decreasing heading towards a blockbuster deal with Netflix kicking off on January 1st. However, some performers either continued their less-than-ideal runs from the previous years or freshly found themselves pushed down the card.
When people near the dawn of a new year, they hope for a new beginning and hope (sometimes against hope) that their fortunes might change, and that is the case for several WWE superstars who have no choice but to reinvent and redeem themselves in 2025.
A strong comeback story could reinvigorate these wrestlers' careers and captivate the fans...
10. Chad Gable
WWE introduced Chad Gable to the main roster fans as a tag team specialist in 2016. He found early success by winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship with his American Alpha partner, Jason Jordan. After Jordan's untimely retirement, WWE partnered him with Shelton Benjamin and Robert Roode and put him through the embarrassing Shorty G character before forming Alpha Academy with Otis.
However, the company didn't recognise his singles potential until 2023, when he started chasing the Intercontinental Championship, which continued until 2024. The fans hoped for Gable to undergo a career resurgence as a singles performer, and despite putting on high-level performances against Gunther and Sami Zayn in his quest to capture the title, he remain under-appreciated by the company.
Fans have also started wondering if WWE gave Gable a momentary push only to convince him to sign a new contract with the company, which he did in August 2024. 2025 must be the year WWE starts using Gable to his full potential. While a world title opportunity might seem like a long shot, Triple H should consider putting the Intercontinental or United States Championship on Gable.
He has the perfect setup with the talented Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile by his side, and WWE should kick things up a notch with the faction as they have what it takes to replicate The Undisputed Era's success in NXT.
