8. Ricochet

Ricochet had been into the sly replies online before he too took the microphone on a December 2020 edition of Raw Talk to try and let his promo do the work his superhero skills apparently weren't capable of.

All loosely folded into his losing feud with Retribution, 'The One & Only' struggled to find the words to such an extent that R-Truth tried to grab them kicking and screaming from him, opening the floor up as wide as possible for the typically timid flyer to say his piece.

When he finally got up for it, he almost broke down. Batting back tears, he said, "every time I fight I always seem to end up the same way, and that's in some sort of pain, every single time." This wasn't just the about his battle with Mustafa Ali's gang of idiots, but the struggles he's faced since that cursed 2019 call-up.

Charley Caruso tried to keep things to the storyline, noting how maybe he should join Retribution. Truth concurred, brilliantly adding that "it's better than an *ss-whooping every week, right?", but the former NXT North American Champion didn't even have the confidence or self-belief to bat it back.
