10 WWE Wrestlers Who Will NEVER Win A World Title

These amazing wrestlers will never sit at the top of the mountain.

Imagine standing in the middle of the ring, at the height of a massive match, with confetti reigning down on you as you hold your freshly won World Championship. To most wrestling fans, this is pure fantasy, but for those in the business, it's the ambition that drives them. Even the most humble performer dreams of winning the World Title and etching their name in history, but sadly it's not for everyone.

Becoming WWE Champion has felt like a pointless endeavour in the past few years, thanks to Roman Reigns' stranglehold over both the top straps. But, the introduction of the World Heavyweight Championship (currently owned by Seth Rollins) has opened up a whole new option for hungry wrestlers looking to prove themselves.

However, just because there is more opportunity for the men and women of WWE to get their first main-event reign, doesn't mean it will happen. Some performers are simply destined to forever reach for the brass ring yet never grasp it.

Whether it's because of a lack of charisma, a poor gimmick, a bad connection with the crowd, or simply a lack of faith from WWE, these solid wrestlers will never hold a World Title.

The NXT Championship will not count for this list.

10. Mustafa Ali

LA Knight
WWE

The fact that Mustafa Ali wants out of WWE is the worst-kept secret in wrestling, as the guy has made it very clear that he wants to search for greener pastures. Hell, he even openly asked the company to release him on Twitter. That is far from quiet quitting; it's screaming into the void quitting.

Despite his pleas, the company is still clinging onto him and refusing to let go, likely because he's a highly dependable high-flying talent. While it is great that he has steady employment, there is a ceiling to his success in the company, especially seeing as he has been recently sent to NXT as a "free agent." It's clear he's not reaching the top, no matter how high he can jump.

Mustafa Ali is indeed a great talent, but while he's a strong in-ring performer, he hasn't managed to pull off the rest of the requirements to be a top player, such as promo skills, charisma, or a memorable gimmick. If his wish to leave the company is granted, it's hard to tell how far he can soar outside the promotion.

At this point, Ali winning a World Title would be even more shocking than CM Punk returning to WWE.
