10 WWE Wrestlers With HUGE Mainstream Breakout Potential

9. Alexa Bliss

It remains to be seen whether or not Alexa Bliss can find major success at The Fiend's side, but her prosperity since heading to the main roster in 2016 cannot be denied. Bliss may well be the biggest overachiever in recent memory. She was drafted 46th overall four years ago (below Summer Rae, The Ascension and Darren Young) yet went on to become one of WWE's most dominant champions.

Everyone knows that there is far more to Bliss than an in-ring overachiever. Her life has been one of twists and turns to say the least, with serious injuries and illnesses alongside athletic achievement and success. Bliss is diminutive in stature but towering in personality, a beautiful woman who can act as well as she can wrestle. She positively screams mainstream appeal.

Bliss will generally be handcuffed by, you know, being a WWE superstar, but her understanding of pop culture and undeniable aesthetic qualities make Bliss a prime candidate to break the hearts of millions of males worldwide. Being a creepy presence in a fantasy world of witches and rabbits might not be the best way to use that, but time will tell on that front.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
