7. How Strong Will Corbin Go Over?

When Dolph Ziggler defeated Baron Corbin at Payback earlier this month via rollup, many wrestling fans were perplexed, even angry at the result. It looked like Ziggler won because he was a resourceful veteran, as he had been manhandled for much of the match.

Since then, Corbin has mostly dominated the feud between the two, and conventional wisdom would say that Baron wins at Extreme Rules. But how strongly will he win? Will it be a convincing, dominating win? Or will it be a see-saw battle that sees Corbin capitalize on a Dolph miscue and win quickly?

You’ve got to imagine that Corbin is going to win this match in fine fashion. Unless WWE has big plans for Ziggler (and aren’t going to renege on them), then he should be getting turned into pudding by Baron. WWE needs a dominant heel, even at the mid-card level, and Corbin could fill that role if groomed correctly.
