11 Things That Must Happen At WWE Hell In A Cell 2017
10. The New Day Must Open The Show
The main show needs to get off to as hot a start as possible, and there is no act in WWE better at getting a crowd on their feet than current SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, The New Day. Kofi, Woods and Big E. are scheduled to defend those titles inside Hell in a Cell against longtime rivals The Usos, and that match must start the show.
It almost feels like a given that this will be the best match on the entire show, so giving the rest of the show an impossible bout to follow may not be the best idea. This is a weak excuse though, and the need to get the show off to a hot start is more important than performer insecurity. New Day vs. Usos is the most molten of curtain-jerking options in front of Daniel Bryan on Sunday.
With two (potentially three) cell matches on the show, it is generally a good idea to use them to bookend the show. The New Day vs. The Usos is not going to main event the pay-per-view, so the main card must open with the preacher-tones of Big E. née Langston.
