At a Ring of Honor show, Matt broke his hand after a taking a falcon arrow from Michael Elgin. Shortly after, Nick broke his ribs on the other end of a powerbomb. The two laugh because they rarely get injured, and fell victim in such quick succession of one another, jokingly blaming Elgin for their suffering.
Nick was unable to compete in a match at NYC's Terminal 5, and confesses that he "had fun, but it wasn't quite the same having to watch the matches from the sideline". This shows a love for wrestling that at times appears diluted by exhaustion.
When you're constantly on the go, fighting fatigue, jet lag and all the rest, I can imagine it would be hard at times to really appreciate good health and the opportunity to wrestle. The relationship the Elite shares shows genuine desire to keep performing at their best and look out for each other's interests and well-being.
