6. Moxley Pockets A Victory Over Trent

Trent's AEW booking heading into 2020 presents an interesting prospect, particularly after last year's surprise victory over Pentagon and singles match with PAC.

While he doesn't jump out as somebody who might be pushed towards World Title level, the way he's presented on television suggests that the promotion at least want to do something with him - and that's exciting. Trent's a talented guy with aloof charisma and underrated in-ring chops. He deserves to be throwing down with the likes of Jon Moxley, and enjoyed plenty of offense in last night's defeat.

That Mox came out clad in jeans was curious until the lackadaisical Orange Cassidy strode into the ring, prompting Jon to stuff his own hands into his pockets in response to the controversial Best Friends affiliate. A crowd-popping moment that no doubt left Cassidy's critics foaming, though it didn't lead to defeat for Moxley, who kicked out of Trent's Piledriver, then eventually put his opponent away with a Paradigm Shift.

The right result, given that Moxley is being built up to face Chris Jericho, and a good, solid TV wrestling match.
